Capturing the many moods of nature has been an ongoing passion since being drawn to the art of landscape photography. I work primarily with large format cameras. The large size of the negative produces beautifully detailed photographic prints. |
The photographic portfolios focus on the Australian coastline with sea pools or ocean baths being a feature. Long time exposures are widely used to create a tranquility to certain images. Time exsposures of over five minutes are not uncommon. Rustic boats and jetties are are often captured on black and white film creating a true grainy quality.Large format, 4x5 field cameras are often used with 4x5 black and white sheet film. The unusual rock formations of the far south coast of new south wales are a source of inspiration, with camel rock, mystery bay and the glasshouse rocks being favourites. |
